I wrote my first BASIC on a Spectrum 48k at six and have not stopped since. From 16 KB and a cassette tape to a Linux kernel compiling on some random late night, from Perl 5 to containers holding production, all the way to running Jacar Systems. The slope of the curve has changed many times over; the underlying question hasn't: what is worth studying, breaking and rebuilding this week so I don't fossilise?
I work from inside the system, not from a slide deck. I have been on call at three, I have moved production on a Friday afternoon, and I have said 'no, that is a bad idea' when somebody had to. Which is exactly why calling me makes sense — and not a big consultancy.
I work in Spanish and English, plain and simple. Data structures, sound engineering, fit-for-purpose tooling, design patterns and methodology are part of every project from the first commit; not a patch stitched on at the end.

Jacar Systems · the company
Jacar Systems S.L. is the consultancy I run from Madrid. Since 2002 we have been deploying and running infrastructure, software and product in production for Spanish SMBs — no franchise, no licence reselling, no slide decks that don't translate into code.
Three pillars — Infrastructure & Operations (cloud, on-prem, hybrid, observability and SRE), Development & Product (web, APIs, system integration, internal platforms) and applied AI & Automation (agents, RAG, local LLMs and data governance) — hired separately or together as the problem dictates.
One point of contact for the whole stack: real SLAs against measurable metrics and code that stays with you. Accessible repos, living documentation, zero black boxes.
We operate in Spanish and English with public-sector and private clients: ERP, healthcare, retail, industry 4.0 and cloud-native architectures. The difference with a big consultancy is that here the person picking up the phone is the one writing the code — and the person who wrote that code is still around six months later.
