What the three lines in WhatsApp mean, and how to find the polls in your chats
Since 18 October 2026, at least five Mexican outlets have said the three lines next to some WhatsApp chats mark a poll, but WhatsApp has not confirmed it. The only lines its official help documents sit inside the poll composer, where they reorder the options. To find polls, use the Polls filter in the Chats search bar.
